Medico-legal Clinical Analyst

We are seeking to recruit senior clinicians to join our company as medico-legal analysts. Experience of working in the medico-legal/clinical negligence industry is essential.

MedBrief is the leading medico-legal platform for the secure storage, distribution and review of patient records and radiology imaging. Alongside our innovative web-based review application we provide a range of high-quality services specifically tailored to the requirements of the clinical negligence, personal injury and healthcare sectors of the UK Legal industry.

We are seeking to recruit experienced senior clinicians who have a good understanding and background in sorting medical records and writing chronologies. 

Experience of working in the medico-legal/clinical negligence industry is essential. 

The roles would suit those who are looking for a new challenge and to work for a vibrant and rapidly expanding business. We are able to offer a very competitive package without the requirement for shift work or weekends. 

We have several permanent full and part-time positions available nationally. Home working is offered as are flexible hours, subject to a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week. All UK locations considered.

The role

Main responsibilities
  • Identifying key areas of the records as relevant to the description provided by the Claimant.
  • Preparation of clinical chronologies detailing relevant treatments and events.
  • Identification of important events or treatment in the wider context of the medical history.
  • Indexing and analysis of available medical imagery.
  • Presenting work in a professional and appealing manner in line with our guidelines/templates.
  • Sorting and collation of medical records, using our in-house software.
Required attributes
  • High level of familiarity with medical & legal terminology, record taking and procedures.
  • Detailed knowledge of best practice, NICE guidelines and patient care.
  • Methodical, organised approach.
  • Attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Excellent command of written English.
  • Analytical and critical mind.
  • A basic level of IT proficiency is essential (MS Office).
Experience
  • Clinical practice post qualification 5+ years
  • NHS Nursing: 4 years (required)
  • Full training and all equipment will be provided.
Licence/Certification
  • NMC (required)
  • Right to work in the UK (required)

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • Monday to Friday
  • Overtime
  • Weekend availability
